Get Smart is an actional movie, which is adapted from Mel Brooks and Buck Henry's hit 1960s spy parody television show Get Smart. The film stars Steve Carell, Alan Arkin, Kenneth Davitian. It was released on 20 June 2008 from Warner Bros. Pictures Distribution.
Inspired by the classic television series, the film also stars Masi Oka (TV’s “Heroes”) and Nate Torrence (TV’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” ) as Control’s crackerjack analysts Bruce and Lloyd; David Koechner (“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”) as Agent Larabee; and Terry Crews as Agent 91.
“Get Smart” is being directed by Peter Segal (“The Longest Yard,” “Tommy Boy”) from a screen play by Tom J. Astle & Matt Ember. Andrew Lazar (“Space Cowboys”), Charles Roven (“Batman Begins”) and Alex Gartner are producing, with Micheal Ewing (“50 First Dates”), Dana Goldbarg, Peter Segal, Jimmy Miller, Steve Carrel, Brent O’Connor (“We Are Marshall”) and Bruce Berman (“Happy Feet”) serving as executive producers.
Joining the director behind the scenes are Academy Award-winning director of photography Dean Semler (“Dances with Wolves”), production designer Wynn Thomas (“A Beautiful Mind”), Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (“United 93”), Academy Award-winning Costume designer Deborah Scott (“Titanic”) and Academy Award-winning special effects Supervisor Michael Lantieri (“Jurassic Park”).

Synopsis :
In the all-new action comedy “Get Smart,” Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS.
When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control in attacked the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23. Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99. As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS master plan-and each other-they discover that KAOS operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp) and his sidekick Shtarker (Kenneth Davitian) are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart-armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm-must defeat KAOS if he is to save the day.
