Karan Johar was in London recently to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his Box Office smash Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and the release of his hotly anticipated film Dostana, hosted by Yash Raj Films.
Talking about the new film, Johar said "Dostana was great to produce as it is a light hearted look at friendship, love and relationships of all types. Filming in a great location such as Miami inevitably leads to fun and frolics for crew and cast alike. As you know, I like my films to break barriers and create lots of discussion and debate and I hope Dostana will continue the trend."
The music of Dostana, given by Vishal-Shekhar, have already earned a good review except the only soundtrack Shut Up & Bounce which has lack of originality because it’s tune is quite familiar with Kal Ho Naa Ho's most rocking song “It's the Time to Disco”. Most critics have criticized on Shut Up and Bounce which is sung by one of the best female bollywood singers Sunidhi Chauhan. The song is picturised on Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and new Big Boss host Shilpa Shetty. At the end of the song promo another song trailer “Maa Da Laadla”, which is picturised on the lead stars of the film Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham & Priyanka Chopra, is also added to make the complete video more exclusive and entertaining. Maa Da Laadla is sung by Saleem.
Firstly it was heard that King Khan will be seen in the song video as a special appearance but still he is missing in the song promo. May be it was a big rumour to populate the film. Lot of drama, rumour and criticism are made around the song. So, we have given the right to the audiences to comment their opinion about the song by supplying the official song trailers for free watching as well as downloading.
