Aahista Aahista Making Video & Celebrity Actress Bipasha Basu's Interview :
Will it be Bipasha or Minissha? Or will they play safe and make him walk away into the sunset with Deepika? The curiosity about Siddharth Anand’s Bachna Ae Haseeno — or rather about who really gets to romance Ranbir — is rising by the day. The teasers of the August 15 release have found favour with the youth and the original Bachna ae haseeno tune has worked wonders with the fresh feel of the film. Here’s a making of “Aahista Aahista” song of the film which has music by Vishal-Shekhar. The song is sung by famous singers Lucky Ali & Shreya Ghoshal and lyrics given by Anvita Dutt Guptan.
Aahista Aahista video song is picturised on Saawariya actor Ranbir Kapoor (Chhota Kapoor) and sweet, beautiful actress Minissha Lamba. Both of them have spoken their experiences and the problems they have faced at the time of shooting the song, in this making video. Also music director Shekhar and others told some secrets about the film and the song as well. So, watch out the video and download it for offline watching.
Below is an exclusive interview of celebrity actress Bipasha Basu, who is performing as one of the Haseenas of Ranbir in Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Now when you come to Calcutta to promote a film, do you feel like a Mumbaiker or do you feel you are coming back to your hometown?
When it’s such a short busy trip, the focus is on the job you are doing at that point of time. So, the first thing that comes to mind is that I am going to get some lovely Bengali food (laughs). When we boarded the flight we had ordered what food we were going to eat at ITC The Sonar. At such a short notice, I can’t meet my relatives. So I keep it hush-hush and when I go back to Mumbai, they all scream at me. When I come for a longer period of time, I meet them.
Did you decide for Ranbir and Deepika what they should eat here?
(Laughs) Not really. You know what to eat here. It’s good fun when everyone’s a foodie and you are around people who love food and appreciate good food. They all loved the Bengali food and they all had a good time.
You started out with a senior in the industry like Akshay in Ajnabee. And now you were a senior to Ranbir in Bachna.... Did you feel that you were working with a newcomer?
No, actually I never felt that. He’s good at his job. He is really talented. Also, the director has tremendous amount of clarity. We could really understand what our characters are. So it was never a case of working with a new guy or anything.
There is this talk that you are the only one of the three haseenas who is older to Ranbir...
They are three different girls and it is the totality of these three love stories that Ranbir goes through with them. And each character is of immense strength. It is the journey of these four characters which make the film. I think everyone’s done great justice to their roles. I think the casting was very apt. According to us, we have made a good film. Hope that the audiences now like it.
What makes your character Radhika different from the other two?
Radhika is a girl who’s come to Mumbai from a small town like Ranchi. She like any other girl is ambitious and she wants to make it big and she is struggling for that. And she has this love in her life Raj, played by Ranbir. She is a very modern girl with a very modern outlook to life. She believes in love and she believes that love graduates to something stronger in life.
That sounds so much like you...
She is definitely like me... I went from Calcutta to Mumbai. I had some goals and ambitions and I still do. And at the same time I have my love life and it’s there on an equal level. The priorities are same. At times when you are in love, you can do a lot for love. Yes, it was easy for me to be Radhika.
You don’t have scenes with Deepika or Minissha but you seem quite friendly with them...
We didn’t interact much during the film because we didn’t have scenes together. But we worked during the music video together and now we are all travelling together for the promotion. So we have been together quite often. Also, I feel, the four of us have a similar kind of energy, are in sync and that’s why the film looks very balanced.
Your Lucky boy track is quite a rage...
I love the music. There’s everything. The old flavour in Bachna ae haseeno, then the two romantic numbers Khuda jaane and Ahista ahista. And, of course, Lucky boy and Small town girl... Then there’s the traditional Jogi mahi... There’s everything you want.
Having played the leading lady so many times did you do this three-heroine film because it’s from the house of Yash Raj?
Anyone who says that she doesn’t want to work with the Yash Raj banner is lying. There are many credible names you want to work with. And if it’s a good project like Bachna, why not?
