Dhoom director Sanjay Gadhvi may have worked with stars like Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu, but there is also a fishy side to him! Apart from pursuing his celluloid dreams, the director is part of a seafood venture called Aqua Alliance.
“I am on the board of directors of the company,” says Gadhvi, whose next action flick, Kidnap starring Sanjay Dutt, Minnisha Lamba and Imran Khan releases next month. “It’s also because the name behind the business, Kamlesh Gupta, is my closest friend. He’s the main reason I am part of the business.
Besides his fishy endeavours, Gadhvi is currently busy with the pre-release of Kidnap, produced by Ashtavinayak. He considers this film his big test, having moved out of the Yash Raj banner after three projects (Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Dhoom and Dhoom 2) with them. “Kidnap is a crucial project for me. It is the story of a man versus a boy. Sanjay Dutt was an actor I always wanted to work with. I signed Imran much before Jaane Tu and it didn’t take long to figure out that he suited the role.”
